Ruby- and Golden-crowned Kinglets are named for the colorful patches on their heads.
Ruby-crowned Kinglets are the second smallest bird in Wisconsin (hummingbirds are smaller). They rarely show their red patch.
Kinglet nests are patched with lichen and moss on the outside.
Kinglets often spend summers in Canada and Alaska.
